Biography

Professor Wan works in Innovation and Information Management. His research covers supply chain management, value chain strategies, and marketplace economics and operations, with work published in leading operations and management journals.

He earned his PhD in Operations and Management Science from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business. Before joining HKU, he taught at the University of Oregon, HEC Paris and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He also worked at DiDi as an economist and led its research centre in innovation and operations management. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Tsinghua University.
